Affiliate disclosure

Some of the tools we recommend on the Tools page earn us a small commission when you sign up through our link. Here's the whole picture.

1. Which links are affiliate

Every affiliate link on this site is marked as an affiliate link in the tool card. If a link isn't marked, we don't earn anything from it.

2. What earning a commission means in practice

• You pay the same price either way. The commission comes from the vendor's marketing budget, not your wallet.
• If you don't like the tool, we still recommend you leave it. Our credibility is worth more than the commission.
• We disclose this here, on the Tools page, and in every blog post that uses an affiliate link.

3. How we choose what to recommend

We only recommend tools we use ourselves, day in and day out, on our own infrastructure and on client sites. If a vendor offers us an affiliate program but we don't use the tool, we don't take it. If a tool we use doesn't offer an affiliate program, we still recommend it.
